He never thought of it as an illness. He had a great attitude in life. Sure sometimes it was hard lifting him in and out of his wheelchair. it was hard to watch him slowly slip further into this foul illness. but he always found a way to make you laugh. believe it or not but the average life span for a child with Duchenne muscular dystrophy is 20. and 1 in 3,500 boys are affected. That is why this charity is so important to me.
